Day #106 - Pool Perfect

After yesterday's day of exploring, today was designated as a pool day. So this blog post should be easy to write!

After breakfast and the usual morning routines, we settled down to a lovely poolside location - not, this time in the huge hotel pool (see Day #104) but another pool on site, the Chill Out Pool. 

This second pool is smaller, no kids' playstuff, no loud music - just loungers, a pool and a bar. Perfect. So this is going to be one of the shorted posts on this blog! 

We nested in a cute wicker day bed, overlooking the pool, and just chilled. Simple! We also enjoyed a lovely poolside meal which I would have taken a photograph of for you, but my phone died in the heat!

The hotel also boasts a nice courtyard which we took a look at while taking a break from the pool. 

For the evening, we retired back to our room with its much needed air conditioning to enjoy a film and a spot more room service - spicy chicken wings, sticky ribs & chips, spicy chicken & mash and a key lime pie which turned out to be a lemon meringue pis (but still as good!) 

The evening's film was The Matrix Resurrections. I've been meaning to watch this for a while, but it was one of those films I felt you had to be in the mood to be ready for. While I don't pretend to understand all that was going on (and the first third of the film deliberately messes with you which was fun) it was an enjoyable slice of hokum!
